Accounting practice management software in the UK

Updated

The UK end of this market has one vendor publishing a plain per-seat price in pounds and several more that route a British practice to a demo form, which makes the published figure both the easiest number to find and the least representative one.

Who publishes a price in pounds

Of the vendors read for this site, Senta is the one printing a per-seat figure in pounds on its own pricing page: 23.20 per user a month on annual billing, or 32 month to month, with VAT excluded from both and a 30 day trial stated beside them.

The rest of the list prints dollars, prints Australian dollars, or prints nothing our reader could retrieve. That is not the same as saying a UK practice cannot buy them. It means the price a UK practice will pay is not on the page, so it cannot be compared here without being invented.

The three vendors a UK search turns up that we could not price

BrightManager, which absorbed AccountancyManager, served our reader a verification interstitial rather than a page. TaxDome answered 403. Pixie returned an empty body. All three are real products a UK practice will be shown, and none of them is priced on this site, because a figure we could not read is not a figure we will publish.

The honest reading of a blocked page is that the vendor did not publish to us on that day, not that it is expensive and not that it is hiding something.

Why the per-seat figure misleads a small UK firm

A per-seat price is a multiplier, and the thing it multiplies is the part of the practice that changes most. A four person firm that takes on two seasonal staff has added half again to a per-seat bill before anyone has logged in.

Two vendors on this list make that worse with a floor. FYI will not sell fewer than five seats, and Karbon offers its monthly option only to teams of four or more, so a two person practice is priced as though it were larger or pushed onto annual commitment.

What to take to a demo call

  • Ask which modules the published figure excludes. On Canopy the tax and close automation are separately priced add-ons, so the plan figure is a floor rather than a total.
  • Ask whether the monthly option is open to a practice your size, because on Karbon it is not below four people.
  • Ask what the seat count does when a seasonal person joins for three months, and whether seats can come back down.
  • Ask whether VAT or GST is inside the number you have been quoted, because the published pages do not agree with each other on that.

Questions, answered directly

Is there a UK practice management product with a published price?

Senta publishes one: 23.20 per user a month on annual billing and 32 month to month, VAT excluded, read from its own pricing page on 12 September 2026. (Senta pricing, read 2026-09-12)

Why is BrightManager not priced here?

Its page served our reader a verification interstitial rather than content on the day we read it, so there is no published figure we could cite. It is listed as unread rather than as publishing nothing. (BrightManager, bot check on 2026-09-12)

Does any vendor include practice management at no charge?

Xero does, at Silver, Gold and Platinum partner levels. New and Bronze partners pay 163.90 Australian dollars a month for up to ten users, including GST. (Xero Practice Manager, read 2026-09-12)
